MTA Register - Acacia Wood

I am interested in using acacia wood for the top of the register. However, solid acacia will, over time cup and distort.

Here is a fantastic video on how to prevent this. I've not tried this but it is on my list.

    The MTA project has been abandoned. Why? Because my skill level does not come up to what would be needed on such a project.
